For us to write, for you to see!
Pitch Session 1:
4-20 Apr 2016
After a few weeks of brainstorming over skype calls, we've come up with 3 ideas:
1) Cuisine Temasek
A cooking game where the player would cook dishes with the gestures of their hands and is graded on how well they've 'cooked'.

2) Overgrowth
The player defends his farm from overgrowing plants which are dispersed by pollen on bees, dandelions in the wind and coconuts by water. Tap the bees, dandelions, and coconuts to prevent your farm from being overgrown!

3) Eat Die Me
Feed your character! Make him happy and he will bring you gold, make him dissatisfied and he'll run away! Nutritious and tasty meals are key to keeping him happy.

Conclusion:
The ideas were trashed and only Cuisine Temasek remained.
So on we go to prepare the Pitch Session 2!

IDEATION TIME!

Meeting with Jerry
28 Apr 2016
After the previous pitches garnering below average ratings, we had a meeting with our supervisor, Jerry, to determine the new direction of things.
During the meeting, we addressed a few issues the team had with each other (mainly not having the same idea/ not synchronized) and a reshuffle of postings was made.

As a team, the idea was finally conveyed to all members of the team properly and there was no discrepencies between everyone.
We
Pitch Session 2:
21-27 Apr 2016
With the second pitch near, we met up once @Woodlands Regional Library to brainstorm and refined our ideas more over the next few days with two skype calls.
The second round has come, and we've been refining our surviving idea. Oh, and there's one new idea too!
1) Cuisine Temasek
Revamped to be unique:
- Promotes local dishes
- Allows students to experiment with different portions of the ingredients
- Practice making dishes without using real resources (simulation)

2) Run Knight Run
The player runs on a 2D plane with different obstacles to break through. The player breaks through obstacles by tapping different nutrients (carbohydrates, protein, minerals) and filling up their respective bars, so upon impact with the obstacles, if there is enough of each nutrient, the player would be able to run through the obstacle. Survive as long as possible and set a new high score! Don't eat too much of the wrong nutrient or you'll get full and you may not make it through the next obstacle.

Conclusion:
Cuisine Temasek did not survive this round and we were left with Run Knight Run, but it had to be thoroughly refined.

Meeting with Jerry on prototype for Pitch 3

9 May

We had decided upon a 2D runner, where the player would choose nutritious ingredients for their character and fuel their stamina and strength.

The character is supposed to fail the first few runs to the end goal (School)

and collect coins along the way which will help the player buy more nutritious foods so that the character may run to the end successfully.

A meeting with Jerry was held to help us prepare for Pitch 3, the session with our 'clients' (MOE) and what to take note of when preparing the prototype to be shown as well as to prepare for the questions asked by the 'clients'.

Pitch Session 3 with Clients
11 May 2016
The pitch went alright, but a last minute story addition
threw all the team members off. One of our team members added in the story without discussing the content with the other members. This led to unhappiness within the team and a meeting with Jerry was held the next day to resolve all the unhappiness and synchronize the team effort. A consensus was reached and we were given the green light to proceed with the idea and tweak it accordingly throughout the development period.
Communication lines/methods between everyone was also established due to conflicts on the mediums used (Skype, WhatsApp, etc)
*anime/moe art style was not to be used due to the 'client' being biased against the art style*
